Focus Together (함께 집중해요) is a focus timer. While you concentrate, a 3D character walks — and you can be matched with another person focusing at the same time. This page explains what we collect, why, and how to remove it. In short: we collect the minimum needed to run your account, your focus records, and matching. We don't sell your personal data and we don't use advertising trackers.

An account is required

Matching you with another person needs a stable identity on our server, so there is no anonymous mode. On iPhone you sign in with Sign in with Apple.

What we collect

Your profile photo never leaves your phone. If you set one, it's stored only in the app's local storage on your device. There is no upload path — we have no copy of it — and it's removed along with the app's local data when you delete your account or remove the app.

Reporting and blocking

If you report someone, we store the report: the reason you picked, anything you write in the detail field, and a snapshot of that person's nickname at the time. We keep reports for up to one year, except reports that led to action, which we keep as a record of that decision. If you block someone, we store that block along with a snapshot of their nickname so you can recognize them in your block list later. If that person later deletes their account, the nickname snapshot is erased and they simply appear as an unnamed entry. You can unblock from Settings at any time.

What other people can see

Where your data lives

We use Supabase (database and authentication) and Vercel (API hosting) to run Focus Together; they process data on our behalf. The iPhone app does not include advertising networks, product analytics, or crash-reporting services. We don't sell your personal data. If we add a service provider as the product grows, we'll keep this page current. If Focus Together is acquired or its assets are transferred, your data may move to the new owner under this same policy, and we'll tell you about any material change.

Purchases

Items in the app are bought with in-app points you earn by focusing. The iPhone app does not take real-money payments, so we hold no card or billing information. If that changes, purchases will go through Apple's In-App Purchase and Apple — not us — will handle your payment details.

Keeping and deleting your data

You can delete your account at any time from Settings in the app. That removes your profile and disconnects your focus records from your identity, and your locally stored data — including your profile photo — is cleared from the device. Your nickname is erased from your profile and from any snapshot held in another person's block list. What does outlive deletion is a moderation record: if someone reported you, that report is kept — including the nickname you were using at the time — because otherwise deleting an account would be a way to erase a report against you. Reports are kept for up to a year, or longer if we acted on one. We keep your account data while your account is open, and may keep minimal anonymous or aggregate data indefinitely.

Children

Focus Together isn't intended for children. You must be at least 13, or older if your country requires it (for example 16 in parts of the EU). If we learn we've collected a child's data, we'll delete it.

Changes & contact

If our practices change, we'll update this page and revise the date above. Questions about your data? Reach us at hello.focusterra@gmail.com.
